Before I continue, a word of warning. Most of the drawings end up happening late at night after Than has gone to bed and G is either in the living room playing World of Warcraft or watching sports/financial news. And it’s normally AFTER I’ve taken my last dose of medicine. I take a boatload of medicine each day for pain mgmt. I mentioned previously that I have ACM and Syringomyelia. Those are painful things. I’m in pain mgmt with a great team of specialists. The nighttime dosages of the meds make me…extra loopy. Hence turtle fascinators and sheep doing the peepee dance. It’s always fun in the mornings to look at my sketch book to see what I’ve done.
Ok so now on to more mural stuff….
Here’s Daniel and the Lion’s Den.
Lets pretend that’s a rope ladder. ‘mmkay?
That’s the last of the Pastor Mike-approved stuff. They are all for the hallway. The next bit of drawings has to do with ideas for the classrooms. Nothing has been discussed, approved, or even really mentioned. It’s just me wanting to draw “something”.
I wanted to draw something that represented the 7 Days of Creation. So me and my friend Google got together and I found some pictures. One picture I found was from a book someone had written and my picture VERY closely resembles their book cover. Imagine that. It’s a good thing I’m not trying to make money….
7 Days
Let’s take a close look at this picture. It’s obvious that I was under the influence of “THE NIGHT DOSE”. Why else would a hippo be in salt water? A dinosaur? And duck-billed platypus? Really? I’m amazed it wasn’t turquoise and wearing a fedora…..
Here’s the original one I drew for the 7 days. Before I got creative with the animals:
You’ll notice this was when my blue sky pen still worked.
The next three are ideas I had for the Nursery room. The first was taken directly from one I found on Google. The others were my ideas. Hence the badly crafted ideas:
First, the good one from someone else’s imagination:
The one that imagines walking into the Nursery and shows the whole room:
And lastly, the pathetic balloon animal idea:
Sometimes the need to draw should result in NOT drawing as opposed to badly drawing. At least it’s fun…
